Artisan Kitchens & Baths grew
from Appliance Associates of
Buffalo in 2002 because our clients demanded more than just the
best appliances, they also wanted quality design services,
state-of-the-art products, a choice in cabinetry, and a
talented, knowledgeable staff to help them create the home they
always dreamed of owning.
Our design professionals educate and guide you through the process from
conception of design to completion. We will work with you to
create a beautiful, functional space based on your desires and
your lifestyle. Our affiliation with dozens of
manufacturers and artisans allow us to provide you with the most
innovative products, regardless of your budget.
In
addition to having the area's premier design team, Artisan
Kitchens & Baths is a member of the SEN Design Group and
NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association).
SEN is a national
network of independent Kitchen and Bath professionals that
functions as a buying group, adheres to to uncommonly high
business standards. And, as members, we dedicate
ourselves to furnish you, our client, with the best value in
products and services, as well as the information you need to
make informed decisions regarding your remodeling project.
NKBA
consists of 40,000 members (and growing!), and represents the
most skilled professionals in the kitchen and bath industry.
Artisan Kitchens and Baths is proud to be a member.
As part of our pledge to provide you with information, from time
to time we will post articles of interest that we have written,
as well as links to other kitchen and bath professionals.

Finding the Firm with the Greatest Value
Seven selection criteria
With many decisions to make before remodeling—design,
products, installation—where does one begin? First on your
list should be to find the best firm. That is, the firm
you feel can do the best job and work within your budget.
To help with your selection, Artisan Kitchens and Baths is
offering these seven selection criteria.
1. Appearance of Showroom. When you walk in the door, note
the showroom’s appearance. Expect similar results in your
home.
2. Educational Approach. Customers need information to
make informed decisions. Avoid firms that speak before
listening. Look for one with a prominent information
center.
3. Quality Products, Special Values. Many products, most
notably cabinets, come in quality grades, from
Ready-To-Assemble to Luxury. Look for variety, value and
an explanation of the differences.
4. Highly Trained Personnel. The most important factor.
Look for designers who have been with the same firm, have
solid credentials, and are committed to education.
5. Documentation. Three important documents: Floorplan and
Elevations, Specifications of Products and Services, and
an agreement detailing terms and conditions. Documentation
reduces unforeseen costs.
6. Specialized Services. A firm with specialized services,
like Artisan Kitchens and Bath, delivers the attention to
detail necessary for a smooth remodel.
7. Business Integrity. Think peace of mind. A solid
reputation, warranty, and client endorsements indicate
quality.
